Frase started life as a content-brief tool and has turned into an AI SEO and “GEO” platform that researches, writes, publishes and then watches your pages in Google and AI answer engines. Its prices changed along the way. Search for Frase pricing today and many pages still quote Solo at $14.99, Basic at $44.99 and Team at $114.99. None of those plans is on sale any more.
This guide uses the Frase pricing page as we read it on 1 Nov 2026, converts every figure to rupees at a single dated exchange rate, and clearly labels anything that is not from Frase itself. It then looks honestly at Frase group buys sold in India and at cheaper tools, including the AI writing tools DesiBundle actually sells. We do not sell Frase, and we say so wherever it matters.

The old Basic plan is gone: why “$45 a month” is wrong
For years Frase sold three self-serve plans: Solo at $14.99, Basic at $44.99 and Team at $114.99 a month. Those names and prices came from Frase’s older pricing page and are still copied around the web. On 1 Nov 2026 Frase’s page lists only Starter, Professional, Scale and Enterprise.
- Old entry price: Solo at $14.99 was the cheapest way in. There is no equivalent now; Starter at $39 yearly is the floor.
- Old Basic vs new Starter: the most-quoted figure, “$45 a month”, belongs to the retired Basic plan. Starter costs $49 monthly or $39 yearly and is built around AI articles, audits and AI visibility rather than document credits.
- The new “Basic”: the word now appears only on a $19 a month FraseCMS add-on. It is not a writing plan, so do not confuse the two.
- Why it matters: any seller whose savings claim is based on “$45 Basic” is comparing with a plan you cannot buy, so the percentage they show is not accurate.
Frase Starter: $49 monthly or $39 yearly
Starter is the single-user plan. From Frase’s page on 1 Nov 2026, it includes:
- 1 seat and 1 site.
- 10 AI articles a month written by Frase’s agent from research and briefs.
- 50 site-audit pages a month for technical and content checks.
- Publishing to WordPress, Webflow, Sanity, Wix or FraseCMS, with an agent that can auto-publish.
- SEO and GEO scores to optimise drafts for Google and for AI answer engines.
- AI Visibility tracking on ChatGPT and Google AI.
- Content Guard watching 10 pages for ranking or visibility drops.
At about ₹3,719 a month on yearly billing, Starter suits a solo blogger or a small business that publishes a few long articles a month on one site.
Frase Professional: $129 monthly or $103 yearly
- 3 seats and 5 sites, with extra seats at $29 a month.
- 40 AI articles and 250 audit pages a month.
- Content calendar for planning output across sites.
- Internal linking suggestions and content repurposing.
- AI Visibility adds Perplexity alongside ChatGPT and Google AI.
Professional is aimed at small agencies and in-house teams. In India that is roughly ₹9,823 a month billed yearly, or ₹1,17,877 for the year before GST.
Frase Scale and Enterprise
- Scale ($299 monthly or $239 yearly): 5 seats, up to 10 domains, 100 AI articles and 1,000 audit pages a month.
- Content Guard on Scale watches 300 pages instead of 10.
- AI Visibility on Scale adds Claude and Gemini.
- Enterprise: custom pricing for larger teams that need higher limits, security reviews and dedicated support.
For most Indian freelancers and bloggers, Scale is far more than needed. It makes sense for agencies running content on many client domains.

- Yearly billing saves 20%: $468 vs $588 on Starter.
- Shared sellers bill monthly. Their yearly figure is simply 12 times the monthly price.
- DesiBundle’s row is Jasper AI, not Frase. It is included only because many readers looking at Frase mainly want an AI writer.
FraseCMS and the $19 “Basic” add-on
Frase now includes its own hosted CMS so you can publish without WordPress. According to the pricing page on 1 Nov 2026, FraseCMS is free up to 100,000 page views. A $19 a month add-on, labelled “Basic”, adds a custom domain and raises the limit to 250,000 page views. This add-on is the only “Basic” on the page today and is separate from the retired Basic writing plan.
GST, forex and billing for Indian buyers
- Dollar billing: Frase charges in US dollars, so the rupee amount depends on your bank’s rate on the day.
- GST: Indian buyers usually pay 18% GST on foreign digital services.
- Forex markup: most Indian cards add 1% to 3.5%.
- Trial without a card: because the 7-day trial needs no card, you will not be charged automatically when it ends.
- Yearly plans are paid up front, so test on the trial or a monthly plan first.
Example: Starter billed yearly at $468 is about ₹44,633. Add 18% GST and a 3.5% card markup and the real cost is close to ₹54,500 a year.
Frase group buys in India: an honest look
Several Indian sites sell shared Frase access. We checked their own pages on 1 Nov 2026:
- amztools.co.in: amztools.co.in Frase group buy, listed at ₹549 for 1 month (about ₹6,588 a year). It also publishes a Frase coupon code guide.
- SEOShope: ₹699 a month. Its page still shows the official price as “$45/mo (Basic)”, which is the retired plan.
- ToolzBuy: ₹699 a month. It quotes the official price as “₹3,800/mo ($44.99)”, also the old Basic plan, and shows a star rating we cannot verify.
- groupbuyaitool.in: has a Frase group buy page but shows the price only on its dashboard.
- groupaitools.com: we found no Frase page on 1 Nov 2026.
Shared access is not an official Frase plan. Before buying any of these, keep the limits in mind:
- Shared limits: Starter allows only 10 articles and 1 site a month, so a shared login spreads that small allowance over many people.
- Privacy: other members can see your briefs, drafts and connected sites. Never connect your own WordPress site to a shared account.
- Terms: account sharing can break Frase’s terms, and access can stop without notice.
- Old comparisons: savings figures based on “$45 Basic” overstate the discount.
