Grammarly price in India (checked 29 Oct 2026): Indian buyers see Grammarly Plus at ₹1,000 a month or ₹392 a month billed yearly (about ₹4,700 a year), per third-party checks made from India in Sept–Oct 2026. The global Grammarly Pro plan costs $30 a month, $60 a quarter or $144 a year. Yearly Plus is the cheapest official paid option. Grammarly has no lifetime or one-time plans.
Search for the Grammarly price in India and you will find numbers from ₹1,000 to ₹2,500 a month, many of them US dollar prices converted at whatever rate the writer picked. The confusion has a simple cause: Grammarly now sells two different paid plans. Grammarly Pro (the old Premium) has a fixed global price in dollars, while Grammarly Plus is a cheaper regional plan in rupees for India and some other countries.
This guide puts the rupee prices in one table, explains Plus vs Pro, works out what each option costs for a full year and compares shared sellers on the same basis. Grammarly’s plans page changes by location, so the Plus prices below come from third-party checks made from India, with their dates. Pro prices come from Grammarly’s own support pages. DesiBundle sells shared Grammarly access, so we keep our price in its own row and say plainly when the official plan is the better buy.

- Plus prices are third-party checks made from India in Sept–Oct 2026. We re-checked those sources on 29 Oct 2026; Grammarly’s plans page shows prices by location, so your checkout is the final word.
- Grammarly may add tax at checkout based on your billing address.
- We do not convert Pro’s dollar prices to rupees: the rate and bank charges change, and Indian buyers who qualify usually get Plus anyway.
The gap between billing terms is large. Twelve monthly Plus payments cost ₹12,000, while yearly Plus costs about ₹4,700, so paying monthly costs about 2.5 times more over a year. If you write in English every week, for college, a job search or work, yearly billing is the clear choice.
Grammarly Plus vs Pro: what is the difference?
Per Grammarly Support: About Grammarly Plus, Grammarly Plus is a region-specific plan available in select countries. The key points:
- Same core features: Plus has the same core product features as Grammarly’s paid plans: full-sentence rewrites, tone adjustments, brand consistency and inviting members.
- Who can buy it: only customers whose payment method and billing country match a Plus region. Existing Premium, Pro, Business or Education subscribers cannot switch directly.
- Support: Plus has lower customer support priority than Pro.
- Discounts: Plus is not compatible with special offers or discounts.
- Billing: monthly, quarterly and annual plans, each billed as one payment.
- Pro still exists: Grammarly Pro remains available at its fixed global price if you do not meet the Plus requirements.
For most Indian individuals the answer is simple: if Plus appears at checkout, it is the cheaper way to get the same core features.

- Against a year with a ₹99-a-month seller (₹1,188) it is about 50% less; against ₹149 a month (₹1,788), about 67% less.
- A monthly seller only beats official yearly Plus if it costs under about ₹392 a month, and none of them gives you your own account.
Grammarly Free vs paid: what the price gets you

Prompt limits are from Grammarly’s plans page as reported by geekchamp.com (27 Sep 2026) and coupo9.com (4 Oct 2026). If you only need basic error checks in emails, Free is enough. A paid plan pays off when you write long documents, need rewrites and tone changes, or check work for plagiarism.
Paying for Grammarly from India
- Grammarly Plus: sold through local payment methods to eligible billing countries; the options are shown at checkout.
- Grammarly Pro: billed at the global dollar price, so you may need an international-enabled card and pay bank forex charges.
- Auto-renewal: official plans renew at the standard rate. Indian e-mandate rules can make card renewals fail, so check your plan before a deadline.
- Students: per third-party trackers (Oct 2026), Grammarly offers students up to 50% off Pro through verification. Ask your college first; many already provide Grammarly.
- No lifetime deals: per Grammarly Support: Pro pricing, Grammarly does not offer gift subscriptions, lifetime plans or one-time plans.
Is Grammarly account sharing allowed?
Plainly: account sharing may violate Grammarly’s terms. Section 3.3.1 of the Grammarly Terms of Service says your login credentials “are unique to you and must not be shared with other persons, entities, or end users, except as permitted by these Terms”, and Grammarly reserves the right to terminate credentials it believes were used by an unauthorised third party. Grammarly’s official way to add people is a team plan where each member is invited to their own seat.
- Shared or group-buy access, including ours, is not an official Grammarly product.
- Access can stop if Grammarly restricts the account, so check each seller’s replacement or refund terms.
- Grammarly does not sell one-time or lifetime plans, so any “lifetime Grammarly” offer is shared access.
Shared Grammarly access: an honest note
Every shared Grammarly plan in this guide works the same way: one paid account or session is used by several members. That is how the yearly cost falls from about ₹4,700 to a few hundred rupees. The trade-offs are real:
- It is not your account. No invoice, licence or Grammarly support in your name.
- Privacy. Documents saved in the account may be visible to other members. Never paste private, client or exam material.
- Pooled limits. AI prompts and other allowances are shared by all members.
- Desktop browser only. Usually no extension on your own browser profile and no mobile keyboard.
Our view: shared access can make sense for light personal writing on a tight budget. For graded coursework, client or office work, or anything private, official Grammarly Plus yearly is the better and safer buy. DesiBundle is not affiliated with Grammarly or Superhuman.
