Keyword Tool Price 2026: Starter, Growth, Scale & Agency

If you search for the Keyword Tool price, many pages still quote Pro Basic at $69 or $89 a month. Those plans no longer exist. In March 2026 Keyword Tool (keywordtool.io) moved to four new plans built around a daily request limit that covers the website, the API and its new MCP connection for AI tools.

This guide uses the plan prices on the Keyword Tool Pro pricing page as we read them on 31 Oct 2026, converts them to rupees at one dated rate, and labels anything that comes from third parties. It then compares the official plans with shared Keyword Tool sellers in India, including our own, with the limits stated plainly.

The March 2026 plan change: why old prices are wrong

Until early 2026, Keyword Tool sold Pro Basic, Pro Plus and Pro Business. A third-party price tracker (PulseSignal change log) records that these were removed on 26 March 2026 and replaced with Starter, Growth, Scale and Agency. Keyword Tool’s own page now lists only the four new plans.

• Old: Pro Basic $89, Pro Plus $99 and Pro Business $199 a month (about $69 a month on yearly billing for Pro Basic).
• New: Starter $88, Growth $188, Scale $388, Agency $788 a month, with a just-over-20% yearly discount.
• What changed in practice: limits are now counted as daily requests, and API and MCP access are included in every plan instead of being sold separately.
• Why it matters: sellers that compare their price with “$69” or “$89 Pro Basic” are using a plan you can no longer buy, which makes their savings claims inaccurate.

Daily requests explained

Keyword Tool counts usage in requests, not keywords:

• One request is one keyword suggestion search or one search-volume check.
• Up to about 1,000 keywords can come back from a single suggestion request, so 50 requests can mean up to 50,000 keywords with volume data a day on Starter.
• One shared pool: the web interface, API and MCP all draw from the same daily allowance.
• Reset: limits reset every 24 hours, and you can see the remaining quota in the dashboard, API or MCP.

What the shared request pool means on shared access

• Everyone draws from one pool. On a shared Starter account, 50 requests a day are used by all members together, so the pool can be empty by afternoon (IST).
• It refills daily. Unlike monthly quotas, a used-up pool comes back after 24 hours.
• API and MCP use it too. Shared plans usually give browser access only; API keys and MCP are not normally shared.
• Ask before you pay. Ask any shared seller (including us) which plan the account is on and what happens when the daily pool is used.

Keyword Tool Starter vs Growth vs Scale vs Agency

• Starter ($88, or $68 yearly; about ₹8,393 a month): for solo marketers. 50 requests and search volume for 50,000 keywords a day, 12 months of history.
• Growth ($188, or $148 yearly; about ₹17,930): marked “most popular”. 100 requests and 1,00,000 keywords a day, 24 months of history.
• Scale ($388, or $308 yearly; about ₹37,004): for in-house teams. 200 requests and 2,00,000 keywords a day, 48 months of history.
• Agency ($788, or $628 yearly; about ₹75,152): for teams at scale. 400 requests and 4,00,000 keywords a day, 48 months of history.

The page does not list extra user seats or pay-as-you-go credits. For a blogger or YouTuber in India, Starter’s 50 requests a day is plenty for daily topic research. Growth makes sense when you research for several clients or need two years of trend data.

Keyword Tool monthly vs yearly: cost per year

Official prices are converted at ₹95.37 per dollar and exclude GST and forex. Seller prices are from each seller’s page on 31 Oct 2026, except goseotools (our run 18 search check, same day).

• Yearly saves about 23% on Starter: $816 a year instead of $1,056, about ₹22,889 less.
• Shared sellers range from ₹1,788 to ₹4,788 a year at monthly prices; DesiBundle is ₹597 once for a year.

GST, forex and the 30-day refund

• Dollar billing: prices are in US dollars (or euros). GST is usually added for Indian buyers.
• Forex markup: most Indian cards add 1% to 3.5% plus the bank’s own rate.

Starter billed yearly is $816 (about ₹77,822), Growth $1,776 (about ₹1,69,377), Scale $3,696 (about ₹3,52,488) and Agency $7,536 (about ₹7,18,708). These are approximate rupee figures before GST and forex fees.

What is a request on Keyword Tool?

Each keyword suggestion search or search-volume check uses one request. Starter gives 50 requests a day, Growth 100, Scale 200 and Agency 400. The limit resets every 24 hours, and one request can return up to about 1,000 keywords.

Do the web app, API and MCP have separate limits?
